Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information TradeRight collects, why we collect it, how it is processed and what rights you have over it.

Last updated: 3 September 2026

1. Information we collect

  • Account information: your email address and authentication details used to create and access your account.
  • Subscription and payment information: your plan, billing period, renewal status and payment provider identifiers. Full card numbers are handled by the payment provider, not by us.
  • Trading journal information: trade plans, entries, stop-loss and take-profit levels, review notes and other data you enter into the app.
  • Chart images: screenshots you upload to the AI Chart Analyzer.
  • Technical and analytics information: device type, app version, crash reports and aggregated usage of features.

2. Authentication

Authentication is handled through our authentication provider. We store the minimum identifiers needed to recognise your account and keep your session secure. We never store your password in plain text.

3. How AI processing works

When you use the AI Chart Analyzer, the image you upload and the prompt context are sent to a third-party AI provider to generate analysis. Analysis is returned to you and is informational only. We do not sell your uploads, and we do not use them to identify you or your broker. Uploads are retained only as long as needed to deliver and display the analysis in your account, unless you delete them sooner.

4. How we use information

  • To provide, maintain and secure the TradeRight service.
  • To manage subscriptions, trials, renewals and plan limits.
  • To generate calculator, planning, review and AI analysis outputs you request.
  • To diagnose faults, prevent abuse and improve the product.
  • To send essential service communications such as billing and security notices.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

The website uses only the storage necessary to run the site and, where enabled, basic aggregated analytics. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

6. Third-party service providers

We rely on a small set of processors: hosting and database infrastructure, authentication, payment processing and the AI provider used for chart analysis. Each processor only receives the data required for its function, and is bound to protect it.

7. Data retention

Account and journal data is retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, personal data is deleted or anonymised, except where we must retain records for legal, tax or fraud-prevention purposes.

8. Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with access controls that limit who and what can read it. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to reduce risk and will notify affected users of a breach where required by law.

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law you may request access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion of your data, a copy of your data, or that we restrict or stop certain processing. Requests can be sent to our support address below.

10. POPIA (South African users)

TradeRight processes personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013. We process only the information needed for the purposes described here, keep it accurate and secure, and honour the rights of data subjects, including the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.

11. International data transfers

Some of our providers operate outside South Africa. Where personal information is transferred internationally, we use providers that apply protections comparable to those required by POPIA.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated in the app or by email, and the "last updated" date above will change.
